An authentic Mexican Restaurant. Food was very good, nice portions, a variety from soup to desserts on the menu to enjoy. Mixed drinks to compliment the meal. Daily specials! Staff were very good and attentive. Reasonable prices, sufficient parking out front.

Great food— hot from the kitchen. Salsas with levels of hotness. Dishes are fresh. Servers are friendly and efficient. Beautiful views and lovely sunsets from patio.

We love El Ranchito Restaurant! The plates are generous, the food authentic and sumptuous. The prices are very fair and decidedly reasonable. They often have Mariachis with a full complement of the horn section Friday and Saturday eves. The owner is a young gentleman who often greets his patrons with a smile and welcoming acknowledgment.

I liked it. A block off the crowded main drag/tourist area of old-town La Quinta. Indoor or outdoor seating. Prompt service.

Ordered the combo that the waitress recommended Micheon I believe, it came with a carne asada taco, cheese enchilada, rice and beans! Was super tasty and would definitely eat again! Waitress was friendly, staff was great, pricing was good, good was so delicious!

The food is so good here, the service is always great too. And they make really good cocktails too. You really get your money's worth! I recommend the sampler appetizer and shredded beef tacos. Any drink I've ever had has been nice and strong, not weak and watered down like other places. Great place!

The items we ordered lacked spice & flavor depth. Food seems to be tamed down for the Midwestern snowbirds -- not for native Californians who grew up on good Mexican. There are better Mexican restaurants nearby & I think El Ranchito needs to kick it up a notch.
